November 20, 2006, Kharkiv Polytechnic University, English language department. Acting President gave a one-hour, non-profit presentation on the efficient use of linguistic resources on the Internet, “Surfing the Webb for Linguistic Resources? Stay Web-wise and Make Waves!” Here is what the head of the department, Elena Goroshko, has got to say: "Thanks a lot for your wonderful report delivered at my department today."

On my part, it gave me great pleasure, no lip service, to assist Elena in promoting Web awareness. I hope the lecturers and instructors will find some of the online linguistic resources extremely useful, both in terms of their research activities and as a great reference for university students. Thank you, everyone, for a hearty welcome!
